WIA 24 Minette Hillyer

Minette is a researcher, analyst, and writer with more than twenty years studying and teaching ways of making meaning in the fields of ethnographic, sociological, and popular visual culture. She holds a Ph.D in Rhetoric with a designated emphasis in Film from the University of California, Berkeley, and has been awarded a number of teaching and research fellowships. Before joining The Workshop, she was a member of the Media Studies programme at Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington.
